Welcome to St. Gregorios Indian Orthodox Church, Fujairah - Sunday School
“I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go” (Psalms 32:8)
Sunday school is an integral part of our church along with other spiritual organizations. It focuses on providing a good foundation to our children about the basics of the Orthodox faith and lessons from the Bible.
The classes are conducted every Friday after Holy Qurbana. We have classes from KG through 12th grade with about 90 students and 15 teachers. The Sunday school follows the curriculum approved and published by the Sunday School Association of Indian Orthodox Church. In addition to the prescribed lessons, Bible stories, songs and memory verses are covered in the class.
Other than the regular classes, the Sunday school holds various activities. The school shows an active participation in presenting a number of programs on the important days of the church like Christmas, Perunnal and Harvest Festival. The school extends its activities with the children readily taking part and expressing their various talents at the 3-4 day OVBS [Orthodox Vacation Bible School] and inter regional church competitions. We are proud of our Sunday school children for their active participation in all our activities, and are thankful to our dedicated team of Sunday school teachers and coordinators. We are also very thankful for all the support we receive from the parents. Last but not the least, we are thankful to our Achen without whose sincere support and guidance this would not have been possible.
